February = new schools, big plans
Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at 3:24PM Holy February, Batman! It's 65 degrees in New Haven. Besides ridiculous weather, lots is happening with Sportsometry in the next few weeks.
- Amistad HS finished up yesterday. We are grateful for a productive, excellently organized elective class, and we really enjoyed getting to know our 19 Sportsometry scholars. We wish them luck on the CAPT in a few months!
- ESUMS Middle and High Schools started TODAY! We'll be teaching 7th and 9th grade and introducing a new sport (what's up volleyball!) to the high school. Weirdly, this will carry us to the end of the school year - hard to think about even with this spring weather.
- We were able to establish a table at the Southern Connecticut State University volunteer fair yesterday; we're looking to partner with a fraternity, the womene's rugby team, and hopefully several other individuals!
- We met with the New Haven Parks and Rec department for a possible summer camp partnership.
A LOT is going on down here on Whitney Ave, and we couldn't be more excited!
