Stephen Cremin-Endes
Board Member
Stephen Cremin-Endes in his 11th year with Neighborhood Housing Services of New Haven (NHS), is currently the Director of Community Building and Organizing. In 2016, as a Real Estate Broker, he helped create HOC Realty Inc, a subsidiary of NHS. HOC Realty is the first non-profit real estate company in Connecticut to assist low and moderate-income homebuyers by focusing on low-income neighborhoods in New Haven.

During college, Stephen worked at the YMCA as a counselor, Metro Toronto Housing Authority as Camp Director, and Covenant House Toronto, helping young people facing homelessness as a community support outreach worker. He moved to Connecticut in 1993 and has over thirty years as a practitioner and researcher in the housing and community development arena, developing affordable housing and addressing the social determinants of health outcomes of individuals, families, and communities.
He previously served on the Board of Directors of Mercy by the Sea - Conference and Retreat Center in Madison, CT, for six years (2011 to 2017) with the final two years as Chairperson. He lives in North Guilford with his wife, Celeste, where together they watch with awe their three children navigate their early and mid-twenties. Outdoor activities of organic farming, cycling and canoeing, and indoor activities playing squash and reading by the woodstove provide much enjoyment.
